So if you haven’t heard of them already, Haim (Rhymes with “time”) are 3 sisters from California’s San Fernando valley, and a guy (drummer Dash Hutton.)
Este, Danielle and Alana have been playing music with their parents since a young age. They formed a band with their parents called Rockinhaim before moving on in 2006 to form Haim.
Haim are a mix of classic 70’s rock pop with a hint of folk and R&B beats, quite a genre clash.
Think Fleetwood Mac with a modern twist.
They topped the BBC Sounds of 2013 list, which has seen acts such as Adele, Keane and Ellie Golding all top the list in the past.
They’re busy in the studio at the moment finishing their first album which is out later this year.
If you’re lucky enough to be going to Reading and Leeds this year check them out. They seem very energetic live, and like to dance around a lot. Look out for Este’s famous bass face.
I will be right at the front of the stage dancing around, and singing along when I see them at Reading!
Check these out!
